ABOUT GIRL TALK
Featuring:
Sean Jones
Jeff Coffin
Ryan Keberle

With Girl Talk, vocalist Jennifer Madsen brings her distinctive storytelling sensibility to the sound and scale of the big band.
The album moves freely through jazz standards, Broadway, Latin influences, soul and pop, with arrangements by pianist Brent Edstrom that honor the character of each song while finding something fresh inside it.
From the intimacy of “Misty” to the swagger of “Comin’ Home Baby,” the rhythmic drive of “Spinning Wheel” and the playful chemistry of “You Turn Me On, Baby,” Girl Talk is built around one central idea: a great song always has another story to tell.
At the center is Madsen’s approach to singing: sophisticated without being distant, theatrical without losing intimacy, and always grounded in the lyric.
